Prime Minister Imran Khan held a meeting with National Coordinating Committee (NCC) on masterplan of cities in Punjab. Prime Minister Imran emphasized the need of raising public awareness in order to prevent the uncontrolled growth of the urban population and support the masterplan of cities in Punjab.
He said that protecting the environment in metropolitan areas necessitates a multi-pronged approach that protects green belts while also preventing catastrophes and natural disasters.
Prime Minister Imran Khan went on to say that protecting the Margalla hills and other tourism attractions is a major priority for the federal government.
The attendees were given a thorough briefing on the masterplan of cities in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). The conference was also informed that 28 cities in Punjab, with a combined population of 64.7 million people, are undergoing master planning.
