The hiring of a consultancy to perform a feasibility report and detail engineering to build new parking spaces in the capital was authorised by the CDA’s Development Working Party (DWP) in August of last year.

By the end of June, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) will begin work on six multi-story parking plazas in the federal capital’s major shopping districts.

On Thursday, the CDA chairman and board members were given a presentation by the project consultant.

Two parking plazas have been planned in the Blue District, two in F-10, and two in other shopping centres, each with five to eight stories. A total of 3,500 cars will be able to be parked in the plazas. The authority will derive expense requirements from two Blue Area floors and construct the remainder.
