Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), requested that the flyover of Rawal Dam Chowk and the bridge at 7th Avenue be opened within the next two months during a visit to development projects on Wednesday.

The CDA Chairman was joined by officials from the National Logistic Cell, Member Engineering CDA, and others on his tour to the projects at Rawal Dam Chowk, 7th Avenue, and IJ Principal Road.

The CDA Chairman asked the responsible authorities to open the bridge on 7th Avenue by February and the flyover portion of Rawal Dam Chowk by the end of January next year to facilitate traffic flow at both locations.

He was also given a full briefing on the Rs4.9 billion major project of extension and upkeep of the IJP Road being carried out by the NLC.

Aamer Ali urged NLC and CDA personnel to guarantee the quality of their work while keeping project deadlines in mind. He also believes that divert notices should be posted in prominent locations to help commuters.

It is worth noting that the CDA’s administration has taken on record development projects in the previous 13 years, with an emphasis on improving traffic flow in the federal capital. The billions of rupees spent on these developments came from the sale of commercial and residential plots in Islamabad at auction.
